Hey man I'm trying to decide between the 10 and the 12-inch version of this mattress. If you help me out I'll use your affiliation link to purchase it. I'm about the same size as you 5'11 230 lbs. I have lower back pain issues so I need a firmer mattress but I'm also a combination sleeper. I know I probably can't go wrong with either one but what would be your recommendation?

I see that this video is 4 yrs old, so would you update us on your opinion of the bunkie board without a box spring compared to the old way of slats/box springs/mattress as far as noise and sagging? We are all adults here but I'm still going to ask a question that all are probably wondering but don't want to ask, let's just say ppl are "exercising" on their bed do these bunkies stand the test compared to a box spring? My bed is a 4 poster but ever since they started making every mattress and box spring 10 inches high each I have to climb up into bed (much different than getting in the same bed when I was a kid. I've hated it, especially being older and it hides the decorative cross bar at the end of the bed, but it will seem weird after all of these yrs to get use to a lower height. Did it take awhile for ya'll to get use to the look of a lower bed, did anything change in your perspective? What was better, what was worse?

I have the purple mattress protecter on my purple bed and I'm highly disappointed in the mattress protector. I also happen to have a 2-year-old daughter who usually sleeps in our bed and sometimes she rips her dipper off during the night and wets the bed. and unlike this test with only a little stain on the mattress mine let a whole lot more liquid threw causing my new super expensive purple mattress to be stained even after cleaning it's really upsetting because I paid a lot for the bed and the protector thinking it would keep my bed safe. :(

Question: The original slats and "feet" - there were 6 - on my king sized bed broke. I bought a bunkie board as a replacement. I like how high my bed is so I plan to use the box spring on top. Can I use just the bunkie board? Do I need to add feet to make it more sturdy?

Thank YOU!!! if your advice hadn't been so detailed, it wouldn't have worked....also, the blades didn't work as strongly like you said they might shift, get "tweeked" a bit, so I wasn't freaked out....WHO came up with this idea??? "Oh, maybe if I remove the spark plug and spray lubricant in the opening.... By the way, PB blaster doesn't kill flies.... that's the useless knowledge item of the week.... 🕊️ 🐝

Thanks for sharing! Your situation sounds closest to mine.... my son mowed the front lawn and afterwards it seized because it ran out of oil... I wish there was something I could use besides PB blaster, something I already have

From my research the heavier you are it’s better to get a 4” topper and if you are a hot sleeper get the gel foam

There weren’t a lot of people talking about Lucid’s latex hybrid, so I appreciated the specific points you made in regards to the firm edge support and stomach sleeper details. Though i’m a lightweight stomach sleeper, I’ve grown up with spring mattresses all my life so I do prefer Firm beds over ones you sink into (which you mentioned) Used your link to purchase, can’t wait to try out the bed for myself :)

FYI a CHIME mattress is plush..not firm.

I think this is the bed frame i'll buy, My only concern is the two central beams. I tend to sleep in the center of my bed #bachelorlife. @dugroz Do you notice an increased firmness in the center of your bed on this frame, Or does the firmness seem consistent over the whole surface of your bed?

Medium firm recommended. These always look too soft.

in my bachelor days, i had a rather austere housemate who slept in a sleeping bag on the carpet in his bedroom. he said after he got used to it, it was more comfortable than a bed. no joke. I, however, did not test his hypothesis and rather preferred a traditional bed. thanks.

I bought one based on RUclips recommendations. Was great at first. In 9 months it has broken down and gotten so squishy that I can't use it . I'm screwed as I can't afford a new mattress. Wonder if they are getting paid for their endorsement.

I HAVE TO PROP MYSELF UP FOR SLEEPING BECAUSE OF REFLUX AND MY WEDGE PILLOW IS UP AGAINST THE METAL HEAD PART OF THE BED AND EACH TIME I MOVE EVEN SLIGHTLY ON THE WEDGE PILLOW TO CHANGE MY POSITION THE BED HEAD MAKES A NOISE AND THIS IS A BRAND NEW BED. I DONT FANCY TRYING TO GET THE VERY HEAVY QUEEN MATTRESS OFF MY BED AND REMOVING ALL THE SCREWS IN THE BED. SOMEONE FROM THE SHOP WHERE I BOUGHT THE BED CAME OUT AND PUT THE BED TOGETHER BUT I MIGHT TRY OILING THE SCREWS WITH A SPECIAL GREASER PERHAPS, THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD.

Wow, fast forward 3 years latter and that mattress is now $2,549.00! I paid $1,911.75 after a 20% coupon. We replaced a 15 year old basic Tempur-Pedic that was no longer working out for us, and I was starting to have some lower back pain. We've only been sleeping on this new mattress for a few days, but so far my wife and I have had some very solid nights sleep, with no pains.

So you could put the mattress directly on to plywood? Doesn't the plywood need some holes, so the mattress can "breath"?
